Madrid community will install Salicru’s 100 UPS SPS.SOHO in its health centresThursday, 12 january 2012
Hospitals, health centres and clinics need to guarantee a stable, continuous and reliable power supply to all connected elements, not only those of their most critical equipment required for vital assistance, but also of the whole computer system that ensures the security of the stored and managed data and other auxiliary services. PCs, servers and other peripherals can offer maximum performance if they are well protected.
The need for voltage stabilisers and uninterruptible power supply systems is even more obvious here than in other kinds of facilities. Salicru recently won a tender put forward by the Agencia de Informática y Comunicaciones de la Comunidad de Madrid (ICM - Madrid Community IT and Communications Agency) (Spain) as part of a broader project that includes the installation of 100 SPS.1400.SOHO UPS units to guarantee continuous power supply to the computer servers of several health centres of the autonomous community.
The SPS.SOHO unit is a UPS with line-interactive technology available in powers of 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1400 and 2000 VA, which covers all necessary performances for optimal protection of computer equipment. Permanent input power protection allows a smaller use of the batteries in achieving maximum autonomy. They also include USB communication with a full range of monitoring and control software capable of automatically shutting down the computer systems in the event of prolonged blackouts to integrate them still further in the protected environment.
As standard too, they incorporate a powerful display with information on the input voltage, output voltage, charge level, battery level and state of operation, and for full protection they have a filter for the data/modem/ADSL line. All of these features make these UPS solutions the best value for money on the market, and an essential element in protecting computer systems, not only in municipal and business infrastructures, but also in the domestic environment.
Salicru’s power distribution units from the SPS PDU series are designed to distribute power coming from a UPS, generator or the mains to multiple devices, such as network and server racks in data centres and computer rooms.
Our company is building a new warehouse next to its production centre in Santa María de Palautordera, Barcelona, with the aim of accommodating logistics, storage, inventory and distribution functions for its products. It is expected to begin operating this summer.
Salicru has launched onto the market its SLC X-PERT, a three-phase, online double conversion UPS with DSP control and compact design, which ensures a permanent, high-quality supply for facilities with great critical power protected by high functionalities.
